a Vision
IS BORN

It was during Reformation weekend in 2010 that Werner Nachtigal had a powerful encounter with God. He was in Pakistan at the time, an extremely dangerous place for sharing the Gospel, so dangerous that their team had to be protected by several snipers.

In the midst of this tense situation, God gave him a vision:

“I saw a massive wave sweeping across the globe, with countless Christians boldly preaching the Gospel. It wasn’t about any ministry or denomination—it was all about Jesus. Believers everywhere, united in evangelism.”

For two days, Werner was overwhelmed by God’s presence. Yet one question kept repeating:

“Mobilize the whole world for evangelism? I was just an unknown evangelist with no money and no network. Either this vision was from God… or it was completely impossible.”

2012

THE FIRST
GO DAY

2012: The First GO Day — A Powerful Start In Nigeria

The first GO Day (Global Outreach Day) was launched in Lagos, Nigeria, at one of the world’s largest church arenas. The day began with a powerful prayer gathering on Pentecost Saturday, followed by believers going out to share the gospel.

GO Day was never about big names. It’s about every believer saying,

“Lord Jesus, here I am, use me.”

A Beach, a Tsunami, and Eternal Impact

The next day, the GO team took many Christians to Kuramo Beach, home to some of Lagos’ poorest. Around 500 people gave their lives to Jesus that day. Not long after, a tsunami hit and wiped out the entire beach. Many died, but those who had accepted Jesus were no longer there, they had been saved in more ways than one.

That moment drove home a powerful truth: the Gospel needs to be shared with urgency—someone’s eternity could be at stake.

2013-2019

GO DAY
EVOLVES

Reaching a Nation

GO Day spread to over 100 countries. At a mission conference, leaders from Nepal committed to reaching every household with the Gospel, an ambitious goal in a largely Hindu nation. Some Christians walked for days to bring the message to remote mountain villages.

Overcoming Persecution

By now, believers in 135 nations were involved. In Ghana, 741,150 people came to Christ through a nationwide campaign. In China and India, evangelists faced intense persecution. China’s State Security surveilled the GO Day team, yet millions of Gospel tracts were still distributed.

Fueling Prayer

Prayer became a growing priority. GO Day partnered with Global Day of Prayer, The Call, and the International House of Prayer to unite believers worldwide in prayer before each outreach.

Growing Evangelism

Across Africa, the movement surged. In Nigeria alone, 30,000 churches were trained in personal evangelism, leading to 95,030 conversions. The message even reached remote pygmy tribes in the Congolese rainforest, resulting in new church plants.

Shaping the Future

On Feb. 21, 2018, the day Billy Graham passed away, global church leaders met and launched the vision for GO 2020: to mobilize 100 million Christians to reach 1 billion people. As Graham once said,

“We must wake the sleeping giant—the Church.”

From Words to Action

In the Dominican Republic, 200,000 believers joined GO Day. Over five years, more than 100,000 were baptized, including a 100-year-old woman and several prisoners. Christianity grew by 5%.

Equipping the Church

A major focus of GO Movement is training everyday believers to overcome fear, doubt, or passivity in sharing their faith. Many discover that personal evangelism is simpler than they thought, and develop a lasting lifestyle of Gospel outreach.

2020

A NEW ERA
BEGINS

Plot Twist: Pandemic

After two years of planning, GO 2020 was ready—partnering with ministries, denominations, and churches for 4 major events of 5 million each, plus 40 more across hundreds of cities. Then Covid-19 hit, and it felt like the world stopped.

Yet Christian leaders believed GO 2020 was meant for this moment. The pandemic stirred a new urgency for prayer and evangelism.

Responding with Unity

Despite the crisis, over 50 million Christians united in prayer, compassion, and Gospel outreach, a level of unity rarely seen.

2023

Launching a Decade
of Global Evangelism

In 2023, Christians from around the world united to launch the Decade of Evangelism, a global mission to reach the world with the Gospel by 2033.

On the Southern Steps of Jerusalem, 850 believers gathered in person, joined by millions online via TBN and global streams, as leaders from many nations prayed for a worldwide harvest.

The day was marked by three remarkable signs:

This powerful moment of unity and prayer showed what’s possible when the global Church stands together—with one mission: to make Jesus known.

Unseasonal Rain: The first May rain in Jerusalem in 46 years, seen as a sign of God’s favor.
Strong Opposition: The largest protest against Christian prayer in recent city history, leading to arrests, yet the prayer continued.
Power Cut: As Werner Nachtigal prayed, the power failed, yet the livestream continued. He declared, “Not by might, not by power, but by Your Spirit!” (Zechariah 4:6)

2025

Launching Training
of Trainers

In 2025, GO Movement launched its Training of Trainers initiative, a strategic effort to build a multiplying network of leaders. The program certifies Master Trainers who commit to training others, creating a sustainable cycle of evangelism and leadership.

Initial trainings took place in Nairobi, Honduras, and Brazil. In Nairobi alone, 326 participants were trained, with another 310 reached across Kenya. Each session ended with practical street evangelism.

Every participant makes a personal “I will” commitment to live a lifestyle of evangelism. Each Master Trainer pledges to equip at least 20 others, following a generational model inspired by Paul and Timothy.

“Since attending the Training of Trainers in Lagos in March 2025, I’ve led two major sessions with over 30 leaders and pastors. We’ve seen powerful evangelistic campaigns and remarkable responses. Now we’re heading into GO Month with renewed passion—by God’s grace.”

This marks a strategic step toward long-term, scalable impact around the world.

We believe that every believer can live a lifestyle of evangelism, sharing Jesus wherever they are, not just once, but consistently.

What we’re aiming to see:

Our goal is to see 100M believers actively sharing the Gospel at least once a month as part of their daily lives.

How We’ll Get There

We’re building a multiplying movement by following the biblical model found in 2 Timothy 2:2:

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” — 2 Timothy 2:2 (KJV)

Launch a global network of trainers Through collaboration with churches and ministries, we’re creating a multiplying movement of evangelism leaders.

Grow 10M Lifestyle Leaders These leaders will recruit and train 100M believers to live evangelistically in their everyday lives.
