A Life Transformed: Harrison’s Story

Today, Harrison is living a completely transformed life.
He has a job, a safe place to live, and a renewed sense of identity and purpose. Joy has returned to his heart, and he now actively reaches out to others caught in addiction – sharing the same hope he received.

“I was on drugs for over 15 years,” Harrison says. “But in 2022, I heard the message of Jesus Christ from the GO Movement team, and everything changed. Today, I’m living a normal life again. I’ve been restored, and now I help others find the same freedom. It’s only by the grace of God.”

This life-changing connection began in 2022, when a GO Movement team traveled to Liberia for an outreach.
During ministry in a local cemetery – where many drug addicts live – the team met Harrison. At the time, he was trapped in severe addiction, living among the graves. He and others were smoking a toxic mix of chemicals, even using bones from dead bodies, which deeply affected his body and mind.

But on that day, Harrison encountered the Gospel – the message of Jesus Christ. He responded with faith, choosing to surrender his life to Jesus. The team helped move him into a rehabilitation center, where his journey to healing and transformation began.

Earlier this year, just before GO Day, another GO Movement team returned to Liberia.
They visited the same rehabilitation center – and to their great joy, met Harrison again. He was healthy, thriving, and eager to share how Jesus had continued to change his life.

Now, two years later, Harrison is a living testimony to the power of the Gospel.
He’s not just been set free – he’s become a voice of hope for others still searching for the light.
