In Mexico, the team ministered during Good Friday at one of the largest Catholic gatherings in Latin America, where millions of people were present. Right in the middle of the crowd, they shared the Gospel and led people to Jesus. Later, during a Jesus March with around 20,000 people, Werner Nachtigal and the team had the opportunity to speak and minister. Afterward, two from the team prayed for a woman who had been in a serious accident. Her leg had been badly injured, and because of the accident she had a metal implant in her foot. She was living with constant pain and limited movement. As the team prayed for her, something began to change. The pain started to leave, and she was able to stand and move in a way she had not been able to before. She even began to stamp her feet and move her leg with new freedom. What made this moment even more powerful was that the woman had been carrying deep pain and fear connected to what had happened in her life. Through prayer, she experienced not only physical healing, but also a fresh touch from God’s love and presence.
A doctor was present and witnessed what happened. She began to cry and said that she had never seen anything like it before. For her, it was a miracle. The moment also caused her to reflect on her own life and how God might want to use her. The team is still in contact with the woman and is encouraging her to return to her doctor for a follow-up examination. What made the testimony even more remarkable was that, from the outside, they could see visible change in her foot. For one year and seven months, part of her foot had been described by doctors as dead or no longer functioning. But now, movement and life appeared to be returning.
